A youth festival in Bedok is giving away a Taylor Swift concert ticket

Those who missed out on getting tickets for Taylor Swift’s Singapore concert next year now have a surprise lifeline, courtesy of a youth festival in Bedok.

The inaugural Heartware-East Coast Youth Festival, by Heartware Network, will be held this Saturday (Nov 4) at the open field near 131 Bedok North Avenue 3.

In addition to performances, job fairs, food and games, the festival has a lucky draw with a prize that will delight Swifties: A ticket to her sold-out Singapore concert next year.

After initially advertising the prize as “a seat (at Taylor Swift’s concert) with Senior Minister of State of Communications and Information Mr Tan Kiat How”, organisers Heartware Network later told news outlet TODAY that Mr Tan would not be attending the concert and the winner would chat with him before the concert instead.

The festival also didn’t explicitly mention Taylor Swift by name, however, with a hint like “the artist behind unforgettable chart-toppers like You Belong With Me, Enchanted and Anti-Hero”, it isn’t hard to put two and two together.

That being said, getting the chance to win this concert ticket comes with a few caveats.

Firstly, you’ll need to be between the ages of 13 and 35. Then, you’ll need to register for the event via this form before Nov 4 to redeem a bingo card. At the festival, you’ll have to complete the bingo card to enter the lucky draw and stand a chance to win the Taylor Swift concert ticket.

Heartware Network told TODAY that they went with a Taylor Swift concert ticket as a prize as the singer is “quite an icon for the youth”.

With resale tickets to her concert reaching sky high prices and increasing reports of scams, this festival might just be your best bet at seeing Swift next year.
