Mediacorp artistes Hong Ling, 29, and Nick Teo, 33, are officially Mr and Mrs Teo. The duo tied the knot on Thursday (Dec 14) and held their wedding banquet at JW Marriott the next day.
The couple took to Instagram to share their happy moments, including a touching post by Hong Ling that reads: “Out of over 7 billion people in the world, I found you”. The bride also shared that they got engaged on Aug 16 on her 28th birthday.
“The very first day you came into my life, I knew you were going to be special to me. Thank you for everything, my love and my soulmate,” she wrote on Instagram.
The banquet was hosted by YES 933’s Jeff Goh and from Teo’s Stories, it was attended by artistes including Rebecca Lim, Sheila Sim, Felicia Chin, Aileen Tan, Tay Ying, Chantelle Ng, Zheng Geping, Zhu Houren, Chen Hanwei, Desmond Tan, Elvin Ng, Romeo Tan, Xu Bin, Joel Choo and Zhang Ze Tong among the over 200 guests.
Hong Ling’s Thai mother reportedly flew into town with relatives to celebrate the special day.
The last CNA Lifestyle spoke to the couple in September, wedding details were still up in the air. “Just go to the shop and buy?” Hong Ling had quipped when asked about her wedding ring then.
They’ve certainly tied down more than ring details, including ticking off Teo’s wish list for more than one outfit for the evening: A black Dior tuxedo, which he later swopped for an all-white double-breasted suit from Gucci.
Hong Ling walked into the banquet hall, first in a princess-cut dress with a fitted bodice by Berta; then, a mermaid-styled dress with a bardot neckline by Romona Keveza, both from Belle & Tulle Bridal. Bulgari jewellery completed both looks.
And no, the bride didn’t get her wish for a red-hot wedding theme. Instead, the banquet room was decorated with flowers, cool colours and metallic details.
